1. Eligibility to Rent
The renter must be at least 21 years of age at the time of pickup. A valid driving license, held for a minimum of 1 year, is mandatory. A government-issued photo ID (Aadhar / Passport / Voter ID) must be presented at pickup. Self-employed and salaried customers may be asked to submit additional address proof.
2. Booking & Payment
Bookings can be made online, by phone, or in person at our office. A booking is confirmed only after the advance payment has been received. The balance rental amount is payable at the time of vehicle pickup. We accept payments via UPI, debit/credit card, net banking, and cash. Prices may vary based on season, vehicle type, and duration of rental.
3. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle handover. The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and is fully refundable, subject to deductions for damages, traffic violations, unpaid tolls, or excess kilometers, if any.
4. Vehicle Usage
The vehicle must only be driven by the person named on the booking, unless an additional driver has been declared and approved in advance. Vehicles must not be used for any illegal activity, racing, or towing. Sub-letting or re-renting the vehicle to a third party is strictly prohibited. Smoking inside the vehicle is not allowed; a cleaning charge applies if violated. Interstate travel is permitted only with prior written approval from King Self Drive.
5. Fuel & Kilometer Policy
Vehicles are handed over with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level, or a refueling charge will apply. Each booking includes a fixed daily kilometer limit; usage beyond this limit is charged per kilometer as per the applicable rate card shared at the time of booking.
6. Cancellation & Refund
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before pickup are eligible for a full refund of the advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup may attract a partial cancellation fee. No-shows at the time of pickup are non-refundable. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 5–7 business days.
7. Damage, Accident & Insurance
All vehicles are covered under a standard insurance policy. In the event of an accident or damage, the customer must inform King Self Drive immediately and, where required, file a police report. Repair costs not covered by insurance, along with any applicable deductible, will be borne by the customer and adjusted against the security deposit.
8. Limitation of Liability
King Self Drive is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of the rented vehicle, including but not limited to loss of time, personal belongings, or trip delays, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Changes to These Terms
King Self Drive reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
